Mushrooms are one of my favorite foods. After growing up with a father who wouldn’t touch them in any fashion my mental “list” of attributes I wanted in a husband had “Likes mushrooms” near the very top! (Closely followed by likes onions.) Happily Mr. B fit the bill. Adding Marsala makes so much sense, what a great side dish combination.

A family friend refuses to eat mushrooms, of any kind, insisting that they make her feel “all funny inside.” I always think she’s missing out, dearly, on one of earth’s most wonderful food. This looks delicious!
