Love this simple club soda and flour batter. I've been trying to recreate an appetizer I had in Mendoza, Argentina--fried zucchini blossoms stuffed with goat cheese over baby arugula and cherry tomatoes--but most batters are way too heavy. This one was perfect. Thanks!

Here's the recipe: http://www.spicelines.com/2011/06/recipe_1884s_fried_zucchini_bl.htm

Finally, a recipe that isn't stuffing them. Unlike the others (it appears) I made your recipe. I could tell just from reading it you had good taste; this was so delicate and amazing. No herbs in the batter, but I did top with a few chives. Next time I'm gonna put a little sea salt in the batter instead of on top. I used seltzer instead of club soda, and it worked great. This is a really genius way to accomplish a light batter. I'm really sad I don't have another blossom to steal off my plant to have seconds.

I have never seen these blossoms at the farmers market. How have I missed them all this time?? Is this just a west coast thing?

My husbands parents make some sort of pasta dish with them and now that I refuse to have a 50 foot squash vine in my yard, its off the menu. It would be a lot easier to buy them!

Don't be scared! For one thing we were married for five years before there was a Nuni on the scene. For another, beer patio dates are fun too! And we get kisses. And, of course, know all the words to all the songs on Sesame Street.

First, you are scaring a newly engaged woman! Second, these look fantastic! I've had them on menus as well, but now I have a recipe for making them at home. Thanks!

Yum yum yum!! We don't have them yet here on the still-chilly East Coast, but we're only a few weeks away. Hopefully I can get B to agree to partake in some with me (as he's currently on a diet).
